The turning point of the war was Gettysburg because the Union won this battle, and there were 50.000 total casulties! The South never fought on Union soil again.

The turning point of war was the battle of Gettysburg because the Union won this battle, (like Emaan said) and the Confederacy never fought on Union soil again. From then on the Union kept on winning most of the battles that they fought.

The turning point of the American Civil War was The Battle of Gettysburg. Why? The Union had finally won a battle. It was the bloodiest battle during the war. About 50,000 casualties!
